I will of course start with my best choice, the overall best tennis bag in my opinion the Artengo 530 S from Decathlon. I will explain to you why; the combination of easy Velcro, comfort and price.

What do you pay attention to when buying a tennis bag?

What do you pay attention to when buying a tennis bag - best tennis bag reviewed

If you like to play tennis and can be found on the tennis court a few times a week, you also want a sturdy bag for your racket and other stuff.

A few extra pockets for balls, etc. are always welcome.

It is important to know whether you are going by bike or on foot, by car or by public transport.

A backpack is always handy on the bike, so you always have your hands free and you don't have to stuff the bag under straps. A waterproof or compact tennis bag is therefore not surprising.

If you like to switch rackets or take friends to the tennis court, you might be looking for a big one gym bag, which you put in the back of the car.

Look at how you are going to use the tennis bag and what characteristics it should have.

For example, there is also a tennis bag in my best pick list, in which you can safely store your laptop, from the office or from school directly to the tennis club becomes a cinch!

Or maybe you choose one with a compartment for your water bottle.

Hopefully you can find a complete tennis bag for you below!

In the Artengo tennis bag 530 S from Decathlon you can take your two rackets with you, with the handle inside or outside the bag, the choice is yours.

The flap of the middle compartment is fastened with Velcro, which is useful for long rackets.

A shoe bag is included, and you can carry it in several ways, it remains nice and comfortable: As a backpack, vertically with the handle and with the carrying straps, you can also wear the bag as a shoulder bag.

This makes this tennis bag suitable for all types of transport and that is often a good reason for me personally to buy.

It is equipped with a main compartment with two zippers connected with a strap for easy opening and closing, and with Velcro to close the bag perfectly.

The price is good and the color accents are attractive, it is spacious and compact at the same time.

  • Dimensions: 62 x 30 x 38 cm, 60 liters
  • Portable: over the shoulder, on the back and by hand

Best Shoulder Tennis Bag: Head Tour Team

Best Shoulder Tennis Bag- Head Tennis Bag

(view more images)

I think the Head Tennis Bag is a very nice one because of its original colors (green – black – orange) and the space it offers despite its compact shape; two large racket compartments for a total of 6 rackets, one of which is insulated.

It has two zippered side pockets for smaller items. Unlike the Artengo 530 S, it cannot be worn on the back and is also slightly more expensive.

The adjustable and detachable shoulder strap and two handles that can be joined together make it a handy bag for those who travel by car.

A sturdy bag made of 70% polyester and 30% polyurethane.

  • Dimensions: 84,5 x 31 x 26 cm, 43 liters
  • Portable: over the shoulder and by hand

Best Budget Tennis Bag: Artengo 500 M

Best budget tennis bag- Artengo 500 M

I also found this affordable Artengo 500 M at Decathlon. It is light and quite compact, compared to the Head Tour Team, but with enough space for a few rackets, tennis clothing and accessories.

You can take your rackets well protected in the Artengo 500 M. The bag is equipped with a ventilation system through holes on the sides of the two main compartments.

The bag has two separate large compartments, separate from each other, so that you can store your clean clothes on one side after exercise and your dirty clothes on the other, which is very handy and hygienic.

Its color is grayish with beautiful fluo-orange edges and it even comes with a separate shoe bag. The bag scores 4.73 stars out of 5.

A customer writes:

Good price quality ratio. Bag is not too big but offers enough space for two or three rackets and in the other compartment still clothes, tennis balls, water bottle and other stuff. Separate mini bag supplied for shoes is also nice. Small zipper pocket on the outside for phone and keys is also super. There are handles on all sides to grab and carry it. It's not waterproof, but it can take some. In short, ideal for me.

  • Dimensions: 72 x 26 x 19,75 cm, 36 liters (much smaller than the Artengo 530 S)
  • Portable: on the back, in the hand or over the shoulder.

Best Size Resizable Tennis Bag: Babolat

Best size adjustable tennis bag- Babolat

(view more images)

A strong and spacious bag for 4 rackets, this sturdy Babolat Tennis Bag has two main compartments to store four rackets.

But what's so handy are the two zippers in the middle that increase the space of each compartment - beware - for a total of 9 rackets!

Two pockets on the sides of the bag are reserved for small items. If you fill the bag with your tennis rackets, there will of course be little space left for your clothes, etc

But maybe you are an athlete who is already changing at home. Its shoulder straps are adjustable and the Babolat has a fixed handle.

It has the same price as the Tecnifibre Tour Endurance, is a bit in the same style, but the Tecnifibre has no handle and can only be worn on the back.

In any case, I think it's a nice one: black always remains trendy.

  • Dimensions: 77 x 31 x 18 cm, 61 liters
  • Portable: in the hand and on the back

Best Tennis Bag Backpack: Wilson RF Team

For the real Roger Federer fan: the Wilson RF Team backpack black/silver gets 4 out of 5 stars on Bol.com.

This backpack in the colors black/silver can store two rackets in the racket compartment and has a second compartment for all your other stuff. Inside, the backpack has handy compartments for keys and, for example, your mobile phone.

What I really appreciate is that the pockets on the sides can be used to store a tube of balls or a water bottle. The back and shoulder straps are padded and ventilated.

On the front of the bag – couldn't miss – is of course Federer's signature.

This is a real backpack compared to most of the other best tennis bags that could also be worn as a backpack. (Below you see a good Junior Backpack and another Artengo Backpack for racket and laptop)

A customer wrote:

Nice bag. Rackets have their own compartment. The main compartment is large. That's nice, but sometimes makes looking for stuff a bit cluttered. Some extra storage compartments would have been even better.

  • Dimensions: 30 x 7 x 50 cm, liter
  • Portable: backpack with handle

This stylish and affordable dark blue backpack K-Swiss Ks Tac Backpack Ibiza is suitable for children who like tennis and often go to the tennis park by bicycle.

The backpack has a handy layout with various compartments and pockets, so that your child can give his phone and house keys a permanent place. The red accents complete the bag.

It's smaller than my other tennis bags, but it's a Junior.

At the front is a nice compartment for the tennis racket - even for 2 rackets - the handle of the racket remains free. The bag can also be used for other occasions of course.

Best racket bag for badminton, tennis and squash: Yonex Active Bag 6R

Best racket bag for badminton, tennis and squash- Yonex Active Bag 6R

(view more images)

This striking red Yonex Active Bag 6R is slightly more expensive, but has been developed in such a way that it is comfortable and safe to wear.

This beautiful and solid bag is suitable for badminton, tennis and squash, but in my opinion fits your padel racket fine in it too.

Yonex has many different sizes and colors available, slightly different from the competitors. Nice, isn't it, to distinguish yourself from the others?

This model is equipped with 2 adjustable comfortable shoulder straps. You can also carry the bag on your back and it is therefore easy to use on the bike.

The tennis bag has two large compartments, one of which has a zipper at the top with a separate compartment for your shoes and a smaller side pocket for smaller items.

In short, it is a complete racket bag for the demanding player.

Did you know?

  • Are there tennis bags that fit 3, 6, 9 or even 12 tennis rackets?
  • Do competition players usually bring several rackets to a match? If a racket gets damaged, it can be exchanged immediately. These tennis bags are extra large and have different components to place the rackets and accessories.
  • If you are a new tennis player or if you occasionally play tennis, will a cover or bag for up to 2-3 rackets suffice?

Tennis bag Q&A

To choose a large tennis bag or not?

Competition players bring multiple rackets to a match. The extra large tennis bags are therefore mainly used by advanced tennis players.

These bags not only offer extra space for tennis rackets, but also for accessories and tennis clothing. The average tennis player needs a bag for 1-2 rackets.

Why buy a special junior tennis bag for your child?

In addition to balls and the right shoes, it is especially the tennis racket that is difficult for your child to take with you.

You can solve this problem with a tennis bag. Tennis bags have a special compartment to store the racket.

Conclusion

Tennis is a great sport for both young and old people. You always need one or more rackets for this sport, and you can protect them well with the tennis bags from my list.

Weigh carefully how many rackets and materials you take with you and choose the right one for you.
