What should you pay attention to when choosing a hula hoop?

The weight

Are you a novice? Then it is generally recommended to go for a weight of about 1,2 kg.

Are you already advanced? Then a hoop of 1,5 or 1,8 will certainly not be a problem.

What you can do is buy two hoops so you can alternate the weights, but in case you just want to buy one hoop, I would personally go for the heavier one for better results.

The diameter

Remember, the smaller the hoop, the faster it spins and thus the harder it is to keep high.

In addition, you should of course take into account the space you have; a larger hula hoop requires more space.

Foldable

If you travel a lot or just like to take your hoop with you everywhere, it is very handy if you can fold it.

Some hoops have connectors, so you can fold them without any problems. Others are made up of multiple parts, so you can easily take the hoop apart and transport it.

With or without waves?

Waves ensure that you tighten your abdominal muscles, with the result that you train your abdominal muscles more effectively.
