A ball sport is a sport that is played with one or more balls.

Usually two teams or two people play against each other, with the aim of scoring more points than the opposing team or opponent.

In many, but not all, ball sports, points are scored by working the ball into the opposing team's goal according to the rules of the game.

What is a ball sport

Every ball sport requires different skills, but a "feel for the ball" is something that is transferable between different ball sports.

It has to do with hand-eye coordination which some have more developed than others.

Being able to understand how a ball bounces or rolls and how to time catch, kick or strike is common in almost every ball sport.
